Description
A Marcus natural pearl, diamond and platinum pendant necklace. The central pendant has a diamond motif, with three diamonds in a lozenge, atop a five row splash of pavé set diamonds, topped with a pearl, with three diamond capped pearl drops, suspended from diamond set chain links. Either side of the centre pendant is a pearl, connected by diamond chain links, with a swag of rub over set diamond chain links below, suspending three graduating rows of diamond chain links, terminating with diamond capped pearl drops, onto a chain of natural pearls, on platinum wired links, signed, on the back, with M.&CO. in a cartouche, set with Edwardian-cut and eight-cut diamonds, mounted in platinum, on a jump and bolt ring clasp, circa 1920. With a scratched inventory number D2453, accompanied by GIA report number 2225723161 stating that the pearls are natural saltwater, of the pinctada species and freshwater pearls of the unionidae family, ranging from 3.20mm to 7.01 x 6.82mm in size.
