Description
An eighteenth century Chinese ceramic kendi from the Qianlong period.
The body is enamelled with coloured stripes, in soft pastels interspersed with iron-red and with fine iron-red floral decoration to the shoulders and spout.
The kendi would have been made in China for export to the South East Asian market.
Copper band reinforcement to neck and rim (19th century).
