Description
A Victorian snake bangle, with royal blue guilloché enamel, set with old-cut diamonds, in a cluster in the head and a line down the neck, with cabochon-cut ruby eyes, gold teeth and a moving tongue, with engraved gold foliate decoration on the nose, neck, body, hinges and tail end, the guilloché enamel represents scales, mounted in gold, circa 1860. In Victorian symbolism the coiled snake represented eternal love.
