Description
An exceptional example of an Natural Pearl & Diamond Brooch set in 18ct Yellow Gold (Silver tipped) in the "Devant de Corsage" or "Stomacher" style.
This beautifully worked Brooch/Pendant is delicately set throughout with numerous "Rose Cut" Diamonds in a symmetrical scrolling, filigree, foliate design; this exquisite Diamond framework highlights the very essence of the brooch which are the two large half drilled luminous Natural Saltwater Pearls. One exquisitely suspended from an articulated Diamond set cap, assessed as being "Irregular, flat oval, of 8.0 - 10.8 mm.", regrettably the substantial length of this Pearl is not measurable (as it extends within the Diamond cap), the other (central) Pearl has been assessed as being "Loose, button shaped with a worked base, of 7.8 - 9.2 x 7.0 mm".
The loose Natural Pearl's weight has been independently assessed as totalling 3.77 Carats, the larger Natural Pearl has not been weighed as it would be impractical and not desirable to temporarily remove this from its original Diamond set cap.
This stunning and exquisite piece is accompanied by an independent Gemmologist's report, confirming the assessment of these two Natural Saltwater Pearls.
French Control Marks to the pin, with a small hook at the top of the Brooch (making it easily convertible) to receive a Pendant bale.
