Description
A very finely worked Oval White Opal, Emerald, Ruby & Diamond, 18ct Yellow Gold Brooch in the Quatrefoil style with Cannetille work, attributed to Harvey & Gore.
The Central Oval White Opal of good colour play, weighing approximately 1.90 Carats, is surrounded by eight fine Emeralds, four Rubies and six Old Cut Diamonds.
The Cushion Cut Diamonds have independently been assessed as approximately 1.50 Carats (unweighed), of L - M Colour, VS2 - SI1 Clarity.
The eight Modified Step Cut Emeralds are of Colombian origin, with minor to moderate oil, of approximately 0.95 Carats unweighed.
The Rubies are of Burma origin with no indication of heat treatment observed, of approximately 0.65 Carats unweighed.
This beautiful Brooch is presented in its original box by Harvey & Gore, established (London), 1720.
