14mm x 17mm bright red Cornelian scarab beetle with underside engraved with Psyche and the butterfly set in engraved gold shank. English circa 1870. Currently finger size K 1/2 (U.S 5.5) The word for butterfly in formal Greek is psyche, thought to be the soul of the dead.
