Hidden Rivers - The Tyburn
The Tyburn derived its name from Ty Bourne (two brooks) or an old Frisian word meaning "boundary stream". It originally rose by Fitzjohn's Avenue in Hampstead and met the Thames at Vauxhall, although the exact course is debated. It now flows in the King's Scholars' Pond Sewer but can still be seen in the basement fo Grays Antique Market (pictured)
